• The Grandstream GWN7672 is an enterprise-grade tri-band Wi-Fi 7 access point designed for offices, schools, commercial stores, hotels, and other environments where many users need fast and dependable wireless connectivity. It can deliver up to 11Gbps of combined wireless throughput, making it suitable for demanding applications such as video conferencing, cloud services, large file transfers, high-quality streaming, and other bandwidth-intensive activities. It supports up to 384 concurrent Wi-Fi client devices, so it is designed to handle busy wireless environments where many smartphones, laptops, tablets, IoT devices, and other equipment are connected at the same time.
• One of the key features of the GWN7672 is its tri-band Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. It supports 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz wireless bands, allowing the network to make better use of available spectrum. The 2.4GHz band can be useful for devices that need broader coverage, while the 5GHz and 6GHz bands can provide higher performance for compatible devices. The additional 6GHz band also gives modern Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 devices access to additional wireless spectrum, which can help reduce congestion in busy environments.
• The GWN7672 includes 2x2:2 MIMO across its radios and supports advanced Wi-Fi 7 technologies such as Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 4K-QAM, Multi-Resource Unit (MRU), and Preamble Puncturing. In simple terms, these technologies are designed to help the access point use wireless resources more efficiently, improve throughput, and provide better performance when many devices are communicating simultaneously. MLO can allow compatible devices to use multiple wireless links, helping improve speed and reliability.
• Another useful feature is its high-speed wired connectivity. The GWN7672 provides two 5Gbps Ethernet WAN/LAN ports, giving the access point a fast connection to the wired network. This is important because a high-performance wireless access point needs sufficient wired bandwidth to avoid limiting the wireless experience. The access point also supports PoE+, with a maximum power consumption of approximately 25W, allowing compatible Ethernet infrastructure to provide power and network connectivity through a single cable.
• The access point provides a coverage range of up to 175 meters, although actual coverage can vary depending on walls, interference, building materials, device placement, and the surrounding environment. It supports up to 48 SSIDs in total, with up to 16 SSIDs available per radio, giving businesses flexibility to create separate wireless networks for employees, guests, IoT devices, and other users.
• Security is another important part of the GWN7672. It supports WPA/WPA2 security as well as WPA3, along with anti-hacking secure boot, digital-signature-based protection, unique security certificates, and randomized default passwords for individual devices. These features are designed to help protect the access point and wireless network from unauthorized access and attacks.
• The GWN7672 also includes advanced Quality of Service (QoS) features to help prioritize real-time applications that are sensitive to delay. This can be useful for voice calls, video conferencing, and other applications where a stable and responsive connection is important.
• For network administrators, management is flexible. The access point has an embedded controller capable of managing up to 50 local GWN access points. Businesses can also use GDMS Networking for cloud-based management or GWN Manager for on-premise management. This gives organizations different ways to configure, monitor, and manage their wireless infrastructure.
