FEATURES

The Syrotech SY-RPS-0800 Reverse PoE Switch is designed to solve the power-management challenges faced by Internet Service Providers (ISPs), especially when installing networking equipment in buildings where arranging a dedicated power source can be difficult or expensive. The switch can receive remote power from the customer's premises through a specially designed PoE injector or a compatible standard PoE injector supporting 24V DC, 0.75A.

This Reverse PoE technology helps ISPs reduce the need for separate power arrangements, UPS systems, and additional electricity costs at building rooftops or common areas. By using power supplied through the network connection, the SY-RPS-0800 helps reduce installation and operational costs while supporting reliable internet connectivity for customers.

• 8-Port Reverse PoE Technology: Equipped with 7 × 10/100 Mbps Base-T Reverse PoE (RPoE) ports, 1 × 10/100 Mbps data uplink port, and a 12V DC output for powering compatible ONU devices.
• Remote Power Support: The switch can receive power remotely through a PoE injector, reducing the requirement for a separate power connection at the installation location.
• Auto-Negotiation: Each Ethernet port automatically detects whether the connected device operates at 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps and selects the appropriate half-duplex or full-duplex mode for easy and reliable operation.
• Non-Blocking Wire-Speed Performance: Supports simultaneous traffic forwarding and receiving at wire speed. Each port can provide up to 200 Mbps in full-duplex mode, helping maintain smooth network performance.
• Cascading Support: Multiple switches can be cascaded to support more users within a building. The system supports configurations of up to 1 main switch + 3 additional switches.
• Over-Voltage Protection: Each data port includes protection against excessive input voltage. If a voltage higher than 24V DC, up to 80V DC is accidentally supplied through a PoE injector, the switch automatically enters a protection mode and resumes operation after the high-voltage source is removed.
• ISP and FTTH Applications: The switch is suitable for ISP networks, FTTH deployments, building-level networking, and other applications where remote power delivery and efficient network connectivity are required.
