Syrotech GOMC-BI3512-20 & GOMC-BI5312-20 Gigabit BiDi Media Converter Pair

FEATURE

The Syrotech GOMC-BI3512-20 and GOMC-BI5312-20 Gigabit BiDi Media Converter Pair provides an efficient solution for extending Ethernet connectivity over long distances using a single optical fiber. Designed for networking professionals, ISPs, offices and enterprise networks, this pair converts copper Ethernet signals to optical fiber signals for dependable network connectivity.

Key Features

• Gigabit Ethernet Connectivity: Supports 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet with auto-sensing.
• Up to 20 km Transmission: Extends network connectivity over compatible single-mode fiber.
• Single-Fiber BiDi Technology: Uses complementary transmit and receive wavelengths to support bidirectional communication over one fiber strand.
• RJ45 Ethernet Interface: Connects Ethernet switches, routers, computers and other compatible network devices.
• SC Fiber Interface: Supports the specified SC optical connection.
• Advanced Ethernet Functions: Supports auto MDI/MDI-X, full-duplex and half-duplex operation, VLAN, QoS, VoIP and jumbo frames.
• Energy-Efficient Operation: Power consumption is specified at less than 3 W per converter.
• Flexible Installation: Suitable for desktop and compatible mounting arrangements.

Reliable Long-Distance Network Connectivity

This media converter pair is designed to bridge Ethernet networks over optical fiber where standard copper Ethernet cabling is insufficient. It is suitable for connecting buildings, extending office networks, ISP infrastructure and compatible FTTH, FTTB and FTTx applications.

Complementary Wavelength Configuration

The GOMC-BI3512-20 and GOMC-BI5312-20 use complementary optical wavelengths. One converter transmits at 1310 nm and receives at 1550 nm, while the other transmits at 1550 nm and receives at 1310 nm. This configuration enables bidirectional data transmission over a single compatible optical fiber.
